Where is Slovenia?
Slovenia lies at the heart of Europe.
To the north is Austria, to the east Hungary, to the south Croatia and
to the west Italy. Venice is only a 1h30 drive away. Slovenia became an
independent state in 1991 and a member of the EU on May 2004. The Alps,
the Dinaric area, the Pannonian plain and the Mediterranean Sea all meet
in the country half size of Switzerland. You can swim in the sea, climb
the Alps or go skiing all in one day! And, don't forget to fish.... |
